The noted Italian StreetPunk band Klasse Kriminale has teamed up with veteran London Oi! band The Gonads to release a joint e.p. called 'Oi! The Resurrection'.
The limited edition e.p. features two songs from each band. Klasse Kriminale has contributed
"Klasse Kriminale" and "Land Of Hope & Glory" - Garry Johnson's poem given a haunting musical arrangement.
The Gonads have recorded two exclusive tracks, 'SVL' and a new ska arrangement of 'Getting Pissed'.
A spokesman for both bands said last night: "We are celebrating our music and our rebel culture together.
Our message to the world is: Punk is back! Oi, Oi, Oi!"
Garry Johnson, the respected punk poet, said he was "Delighted by Klasse Kriminale's brilliant reinterpretation of my words;
you have given the poem extra depth and texture."
Garry is working on re-issuing his 'The Story Of Oi' book, with a comprehensive update about the last 25 years of the StreetPunk scene. The book will include his original poetry collection, 'The Boys of The Empire'.
